It seems with the past half a year the drifting season is lost. The long days of no direction have taken their toll on many a tog, editor and website. It’s hard to see the light of a very long dark tunnel when the powers that be don’t know either. The return to normalcy is a question that’s on the lips of every hardcore fan. What can I say I have no ideas either. I’ve tried to see a positive side and I hope that things are making a u-turn very slowly I might add.
It’s a long road back to the way things were. Can it be that way again I don’t know but what I can say is that it’s time to accept the change and work together for a new outlook.
Let’s agree that we all have the chance to prove that we make a change and drift again. BDC round one is going ahead with all the new rounds and it’s a positive step to working within the guidelines. All be it without spectator and restricted media but with a new livestream service promising better and more thorough action. We are all part of this change we are all part of something new. It’s a hard time and a new start for all.
Permits for new drivers to compete have given the chance for new blood to prove their worth. Is it time for the next generation to lead? I have to move with the times I have to up my game. I can only do that with the help of others taking that leap of faith that we are all taking every time we take a step out of the front door. It’s a time to shine and prove to the world that we can fight hard to get our sport back and do it safely.
Here’s to the future of everything. It’s going to be different but it’s ours to change and ours to safeguard. Let’s move forward knowing that what we are doing now is for the future of our sport.
Drift to the future.
